Until, at some point, you're sitting at the beach, or outside while on vacation in Spain, and try to read a book... and then discover it doesn't work because your LCD-screen doesn't go bright enough, or reflects either your own face back at you, the sky, or everything that's behind you :P
When reading inside, a tablet does well enough though.
