I notice that one of today's Amazon's daily deals is the 4-star ebook
How the States Got Their Shapes. It's $1.99.
I also noticed that the Whispersync narration is only $3.99. So the entire Whispersync deal is only
$5.98--a respectable price, even for a hyper-frugal person like me.
There was a series from PBS or National Geographic or some other company of that type two or three years ago called "How the States Got Their States." I don't know if this ebook is by one of the people who had a part in that series, but the series was fascinating to me. But, to be honest, I'm a person who loves geography and maps (I don't own one of those GPS thingies for my automobile and don't plan to buy one--I love reading the maps!).
With the Whispersync deal you get the ebook along with the audio and automatic syncing thereof. For this particular audio, I think that having the ebook companion is almost essential--what with the subject being about
geography. And it's hard to see how anyone ever could get both of those for a price lower than
$5.98.
