That should basically resolve all your troubles  .
Note that if by "reset", you mean "factory reset", you will *have* to reinstall the factory fw, because that reset will switch a factory FW to a production one.

@NiLuJe, sorry I should have been more clearer that the file I used was the main-htmlviewer.tar.gz both from the tarball and from BD's release thread.
However, after reading your post I think I know where it went all wrong.
what I did wrong was to 'factory reset' 5.7.4 while desperately attempting to get main-htmlviewer.tar.gz (v 1.1) to work. When you pointed me to the snapshot (V 1.2) the device was now running the production FW. Basically I was now trying (V 1.2) on production FW.
What I need to do is to re-install factory FW 5.7.4 and run main-htmlviewer.tar.gz from BD's release thread
Am at work at the moment so I will try that when I get home and I will report back.
