comment on an AFTVnews that says it's possible to sideload it on the Fire TV, but I can't find anything where someone's tried it on the Fire TV Stick.

I sideloaded Vudu and it works fine. You need the remote mouse app or an actual mouse to control it though. It’s kind of a clunky solution, but all the movies I tried played just fine.

If you want to try sideloading it, AFTVnews has a thorough
guide on how to do it. If you don't have a mouse, there's a bunch of remote mouse apps for Android, and I'm sure it's the same for iOS.
