It sounds like you didn't pull the card out of the Glo. If so, any formatting you did should only affect the user accessible partition. In that case, you should be able to recover by doing a factory reset. This is done by:

- Make sure the battery has charge.
- Holding the power switch in the off position for about 20 seconds.
- Hold the light button down and turn the device on.
- When the screen changes, release the light button.

If that works, it saves you from opening the device.
