Hey guys. As my nickname says, I screwed up.
I have an Amazon Kindle Touch Basic (2014 model) I got as a gift years ago, and I wanted to install this jailbreak because I have a lot of epub files.
I did everything as posted in the OP's thread but I copied the wrong factory image. I used one from PW3 and not for my KT2.
This would not be a problem if I got to see it as an USB Storage, but the problem is that I see it briefly. I tried the DO_FACTORY_RESTORE method and it only "worked" one time. That time I could write that file because the Kindle gave me the time to copy it, but it wouldn't get to the original working factory image. After this one time, the time it recognizes it as a removable storage is almost non-existent.
So, to sum it up:
I flashed a paperwhite factory image in a Kindle Touch Basic. I tried the DO_FACTORY_RESTORE method but it didn't work.
Is there any hope for this device or it's condemned to live as a pretty, expensive brick?
Thanks!
