The Symbol should work just like the rest. It might initially be wrong, but after doing the settings it should work fine from there on. I will check the initial value, that might be wrong.
I checked the code for PPO and FC, but I cannot reproduce your issue. The hide when I want and appear when I want, also with stopping/starting Word.

I agree that it is very irritating, I will check it again. The fact that I cannot reproduce it, doesn't help me very much.
