I went ahead and got the Glo HD and so far it's really nice. Still getting used to the tiny size! I did want something small but after using a 10 inch tablet the last couple years it seems strange. The light does indeed go all the way down to nothing; I compared it to my Sony's screen last night with just a bedside lamp on.
