I just checked the Kindle update page for the latest generation Kindles. The descriptions all say Export Notes feature is there, but at least for my Kindle (7g) and Kindle Paperwhite (7g) that is definitely not the case, even though it states that '5.8.1' is the current version and that is what is on my devices. For the Kindle (8g) I have ordered but not yet received, it says the latest version is '5.8.1.1'. So it is rather confusing.
It is even more confusing for my Fire HD 6, where 'latest version' is a higher number than what I have on the device, yet when I download the update file and try to apply it, I'm told the update is 'older' and no update occurs.
Seems a case where they are updating the descriptions before the updates are actually available for download.
