This is just a matter of semantics, and I agree it's annoying, but I try not to take it personally.

You can either say that some people are "too picky" or that they are "more discerning" or "more color/light sensitive". You can say that some people "are less sensitive" to light issues, or you can interpret it as "vision impaired" (which I don't think has actually been said, tho some folks come close).

Lets all try not to use words that paint the other folks as wrong!
