It's time again for some more free classical music from Classical-music.com.

This week's free download is Allegro from Viardot's Sonatine. Here's the blurb:
This week's free download is the Allegro from Pauline Viardot's Sonatine, written in 1874. It comes from a recent recording of 100 years of music by French female composers by Diana Ambache and friends.

Viardot, sometimes Viardot-García, was a mezzo-soprano and composer who lived and worked in Paris in the late 19th century. Franz Liszt admired Viardot greatly, and said that 'with Pauline Viardot, the world has finally found a woman composer of genius'.

The recording was reviewed in the April issue of
BBC Music Magazine, and was the subject of our April First Listen podcast. Ambache has created a diverse sequence of thoroughly engaging chamber works' writes Christopher Dingle.
