Who cares about the Windows store? There are at least two programs I know of that should run on the Cambio and display eBooks. One is the older version of FBReader, available for Windows, Linux, and OS/X. The other is the open source SumatraPDF viewer, which displays ePub, Mobi, DjVu, and CBR/CBX (comic book) files as well as PDFs. SumatraDF is Windows only.
But yes, the Fire is an alternative platform she can use for eBooks.

I D/L the kindle app to the Cambio. Then ran out of available time for this. I might get to go back to it this afternoon. Still thinking I would rather have all of it on my Laptop instead of Cambio.
I wonder if it is possible to then save the Calibre folder from Laptop on thumb drive and be able to read it on Cambio? Thoughts are if tablet of computer crash and burn will i have to re-build it all over again. I probably should be asking this on the Calibre board and not here. The Calibre reader worked fairly well on the Cambio tablet. I could adjust font and that is the most important for me.
