Sorry for taking so long to respond. I had a demo kindle paperwhite (2013 edition) with 5.4.2 firmware on it. I typed ;uzb in the search bar to enable connecting to it over the computer. I then opened the official build folder and made a copy of the file called demo.bin. Then I put the demo.bin file on the root directory on my other kindle paperwhite. Then i updated my kindle by clicking menu, settings, menu, update you kindle and my kindle installed the 5.4.2 firmware on it. Hope it works for you.
Make sure to only use the demo.bin file on the kind of kindle you got it from. If you got it from a kindle paperwhite (2013 edition) make sure to only use it on a (2013 edition) otherwise it will brick your kindle. I tried it and bricked one of mine.
