Although support for page flip has been present since the 5.7.2 firmware it seems that it was somehow disabled until recently. It appears that syncing the Kindle with your Amazon account and restarting it may be required to activate page flip.

And, as badgoodDeb states, it doesn't work for all books. Check to make sure that the book you are reading is in KFX format. Look for the name of the book in the 'documents' folder of the device over USB. For example: Celestial Debris_B00FG67ASI.kfx
