Yes, if one takes a front lit device into a dark closet and turns the lights all the way up, then yes one would probably see something. That is not normal usage.

And yes, Amazon will replace because some people are more sensitive than others.

Same idea with the faults, if you go to extremes you will find the faults.

They absolutely do not see different things. The brain interprets what the eyes see and presents it. Take a photo in incandescent lighting. It is yellow. That is the real colour. The brain interprets the yellow out of the picture in reality.
Screen colours will differ according to what ambient lighting is being used.
