Library weirdness
I finally got around to reinstalling Calibre after old computer died six months ago. I set up Calibre from scratch, with a few plug ins.
To populate my library, I first connected my Kindle (which has everything, including non-Amazon books) and pulled everything into Calibre.
For the books on my Kindle in KFX format, I first removed them from Calibre then downloaded them onto my computer from Amazon and transferred the file from my download folder to Calibre.
All good.
But I have some weirdnesses.
There are three books in my Calibre library that a) I don't own and have never owned, b) are not in my Amazon library in my Amazon account, c) don't exist on my Kindle. They are only in the Calibre library in KFX format. I cannot for the life of me figure out how they got there.
The three are:
Gilda O'Neill\Of Woman Born (910)\Of Woman Born - Gilda O'Neill.kfx
Claude Aveline\Passenger on the U (905)\Passenger on the U - Claude Aveline.kfx
Amalie Skram\Under Observation (901)\Under Observation - Amalie Skram.kfx
These are indeed books that exist in the world but don't appear to be available for the Kindle.
I'm about to just delete them, but really puzzled by this. Is Calibre haunted?
