The dictionary drives me nuts so i end up not using it as i end up spending so much time trying to vary my touch so it highlights the word instead of turning the page.
I normally find IR touch very frustrating such as @HarryT BUT following a lot of the advice listing in this thread such as blowing the dust from the edges etc. seems to have helped. I still have issues but not as much as i have been.
I also forget it uses IR in my fits of rage and press harder so again remembering trying to break the beam instead of pressing harder has helped me as well as swiping in empty areas when im browsing my library as swipes almost always recognizes as a touch for me.
weirdly trying to use my nail as oppose to my whole finger has helped in certain instances so i have decided to try give the kobo another chance although the battery is toast (it drops from 100 to 40 in about a day then normal wear) i think i will see how it goes and if it gets too frustrating i may see if Kobo releases a capacitive seen any time soon failing that i wil get an onyx as suggested here or a Paperwhite3.
