I really loved Joe Hill's The Fireman (don't miss the slightly hidden coda at the end).
The book after that was The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood. I had a hard time with it for some reason and kind of skimmed over the last half of the book.
Now I'm reading Jane Steele by Lyndsay Faye. I am thoroughly enjoying it. The Jane Eyre-ish heroine is a serial killer. It is entertaining and well-written so far. I'm 1/4 in already.
