I didn't mean to sound like I was speaking in abolutes. Someone asked for advice and I offered it, based on my own experience and the reading I've done on the topic over the years. I'm not an engineer and I don't pretend to be.

I've been following the advice I gave for lots of years. It's safe and reliable. I probably have 20 tablets at any given time and about 8 ereaders and a number of MP3 players, phones, portable media players, etc. I live in a retirement home where my neighbors have a lot more devices. They also follow this same advice. Their devices and mine tend to last for years.
