AFAIK all current model Kindle's have 4GB of storage, not 2, but no you can't upgrade it like most Kobo's as it's not a microSD card.

For Manga the 6.8" readers like the Kobo Aura H20 or Onyx T68 (as opposed to 6") can be nice, but both use IR touch (not sure if the T68 is still a current model). Note that Kindle's don't support CBR, so those would need to be converted as well.
