My B&N Gift Card Balances have returned!

This is so odd.

Back when B&N moved our Fictionwise libraries over to the B&N website, I had $25.28 in a gift card balance (actually 2 cards, not that it matters). (NOTE: back then, I'd enter the codes into the website, then throw away the plastic cards).

When all the books moved over, my gift card balances disappeared. I had a couple of frustrating non-helpful B&N help desk chats and one wasted phone call, and I just gave up. If I received any more gift cards, I'd try to spend them all at once, and I wouldn't get rid of the actual card until the $$ was used up.

I continued to use gift cards (and track their spending) through mid-October 2014. Those missing balances never showed up.

Then when they removed the ability to download books from their website and I decided I was done with them. I had an $0.84 balance that I forgot about.

With the announcement of the Apple settlement finally being credited, I thought I'd check my B&N account to see if the credit was there yet (and how much it was). And to my shock I see those old balances are back!

I'm wondering if something they did when they redesigned the website found the error. Of course I never got an email about it.

I think I'd better spend them ASAP before they disappear again.
