Would the Tolino range interest you?
The Tolino Vision 3HD has a flush bezel, and 300dpi. Although it is linked to the Tolino bookstore, it is fine for side-loading epubs. (Reviews suggest it is awful using it with PDFs).
(Actually, I should be receiving one in the next 14 days on test)
