Yes. The eink display only consumes energy while it is being changed. The big power hog is 3G (or wifi), and next is the CPU, and then SDRAM. For reading books, screen size matters very little regarding battery life, and a big screen leaves room for a bigger battery to boot (with advances in battery tech since the DX giving a much better power/weight ration than before). Battery life depends primarily on usage patterns, not screen size.
