The other strange thing is that I sideloaded the Merriam-Webster dictionary to the Kindle Keyboard and when I open the book description it shows:
Not available for this device
Available on these devices only: Kindle, Kindle Voyage, Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle Paperwhite (5th gen.)
Though the dictionary works on Keyboard as well. LOL

And the message works on a Keyboard device also.
At least there is some consistency there, somewhere.
