No Dawn for Men: A Novel of Ian Fleming, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Nazi Germany by James LePore & Carlos Davis is their WWII-era historical Real Person Fic action adventure espionage thriller with sfnal/supernatural elements teaming up Exactly Whom It Says In The Subtitle, as MI-6 recruits the future authors of the Lord of the Rings and the James Bond franchise to go undercover to thwart a Nazi plot to retrieve some sort of Macguffin that would give them a terrifying apparently occult-ish weapon, free courtesy of publisher Fiction Studio, an imprint started by former Big 6 editor Lou Aronica (ISFDB, Wikipedia).

This is B&N's Free Fridays selection of the week, and the full blurb claims that it is an International Thriller Award nominee.

Currently free, probably just through the weekend @ B&N, and will likely remain exclusive to them, as previous Story Plant/Fiction Studio Free Fridays selections have been.

And this has been the (late!) selected 3rd (non-repeat) free ebook thread of the day.

Not gonna lie, this sort of literary mash-up author team-up sounds kind of awesome on paper, and hopefully it lives up to that. And we're getting it for free! (For values of "we" that happen to have a US B&N account, that is. But still, free!)
