That's 100 or more each, not in total.

That information is from a post by consumer advocate Clark Howard.

None of the stores listed are book sellers, per se (unless you count Walmart). And, there are a variety of reasons that all of these companies are closing all of those stores. But, IMHO, all of these closures are just another portent of the continued decline in the number of the brick-and-mortar bookstores, if not their final demise .
