There may be others as well. I recall seeing similar devices in music magazines going back several years.
But as for whether it would be suitable for general ebooks and documents, I guess that would depend on how they implemented the software, and if the form factor was suitable for you.
It seems most of these things are preorder/prototype right now, so it might be worth contacting them and telling them you WANT it to function as a general ereader, in case for some reason they are considering making it only work with some special music format.
