I was struggling trying to figure out how to build an app with sound again. Thankfully, somebody posted some clues:

If you read the notes posted at the end of that post, you may be relieved that I recently obtained a nice MIDI keyboard from the local Goodwill for just pocket change (even with my now much smaller pockets). So now, I have reason to support MIDI on my kindles.
