Please note in my edited revision of #9 that this most recent Reset DID DELETE the new book I was just reading. The 37 other books are somehow burned permanently onto the device ... keep coming back.
If the system can not delete the contents of the visible USB storage, the storage device is defective.

No ifs, ands, special conditions, buts or maybes - that eMMC chip is toast.
