Could you PM me a link to that document which stubbornly refuses to reveal its TOC? I'm curious if it's a regression in a newer firmware (mine is pretty ancient, yours I suppose must be quite fresh) or something else. From what users report on the forum sadly Onyx seems to be quite good at breaking existing features in new releases.

Yeah, that monster thread on M96... You will be better off asking for help with troubleshooting in a fresh thread or one by one on StackExchange. I won't answer here but in short export generally worked for me and I can't recall any issues with the scribbles (and I scribble a lot). It could be that my firmware version works better in these areas. Post a new question and we can try to investigate.
