I would still prefer the stroke eraser, though, but maybe it's just a matter of getting used to a different way of doing things. For example, if I draw an arrow that goes across the page, over some text, with stroke eraser I can easily annihilate the arrow by just touching it somewhere once. Not so easy with this solution without affecting the text underneath the arrow.
