What synchronicity! Just got home, and while driving here, I was listening to Mahzarin Banaji discuss this very book with Krista Tippett on NPR's On Being segment: "The Mind Is a Difference-Seeking Machine".

And FYI, shootist and GtrsRGr8 - Whether your buy/read that book or not, it's worth noting: EVERYONE stereotypes, has prejudices, and is inclined to discriminate or perpetrate a status quo that benefits them but is discriminatory against others (sometimes unconsciously), not just whites, males, or other dominant group members. Examples: heterosexuals, right-handed people, and people who aren't deaf. Humans (and other animals) are hard-wired to do that, for purposes of survival. However, globalization and the highly diversified workforce and marketplace have made it important to recognize and counterbalance those tendencies.
