I'm looking at some cheap ones, they have rx, tx, vcc and ground, and it says it is 1.8v.
I think that seems to cover everything needed.
I'm just not sure if there are different types of ttl, etc.
It should be ok?
I can buy it for less than $1, so it's a good deal  (A Chinese site.)

Hi. Since you admit you aren't good at electronics, please make sure you understand all the instructions before starting.
Will you be using the soldering method or the pin method?
If you choose the soldering method, practice soldering on something else first if you have never done it. The pieces are tiny and if you solder in the wrong place, you could render your device unusable. Also the soldering iron is very hot and one touch can brand you.
Just a little advice from someone who used to work on much bigger mother boards.
