My experience with the $20 Kindle

I happen to notice this amazing sale last night around 10pm pacific time. I immediately ordered the item. I received a confirmation email. I then checked about 30 minutes ago and saw that my order had been canceled. No email apology or any explanation. It actually seems like it is saying I canceled the transaction.

I called customer service. First guy was the call drops right after I say that I ordered a kindle last night for the 20 dollar cost, the call ended.

I called back

So I tell the first person what happened and she transfers me to kindle support.
wait on hold.

Explain to the first guy and he leaves twice to check with a supervisor and after 20 min on hold tells me that this was a mistake and that is why it was cancelled. I said "can i know why i was not notified of a cancellation". Said that the system doesn't notify in those instances. Then assumes I will be ok with the answer being their mistake. I said I want a supervisor.

After an exhausting 30 min of the supervisor call the best that I am offered is $20.00 off the $99.00 price. Which will be applied once the item has shipped. They didn't honor the price error for me. So those of you who they did are lucky. I did put the order through although am on the fence whether or not i will cancel it.
