Thanks for the KOReader tip.

I tried the patch you noted but it didn't work - I still got crashes. Also, even when full screen is set, in user settings, there is always a black strip at the bottom. From the code you shared, there is also a patch to go full screen but it didn't work. I tried KOReader with my Fire HD8 and it is stable, with no problems. Do you think it'll make a difference if I installed Google Play on the Icarus Illumina XL? Or is this a unresolvable problem with Boyue devices?
