There an advantage to buy a used unit in working order, even if you just need one part. You then have all the other parts, in case you later need one of them. While screen cracking is the most common problem, I once had a a motherboard die.

Also, maybe the used unit you purchase will have a battery that keeps a charge longer than yours, probably because it is newer.

However, to answer the OP question, I just searched a bit on Ebay. In my opinion, the Ebay screens you may be looking at (are they shipped from Hong Kong?) are mislabeled and really eInk.

Also, can't you send the eBay seller a question?
