The price of anything is worth it for anybody willing to pay it. The sales of the Oasis would indicate it is worth it. The Voyage I have was/is great for reading with 50 dollar oragmi case while sitting at a desk. Was always terrible for reading one handed while laying down. The Oasis is great reading one handed. While reading in bed it does not become overbalanced and fall out of my hand.

I don't take my Kindle with me around town, I read when necessary on my phone while waiting at the dr's office. When I travel it is in my luggage or in the door if I am not driving. The case's protective value might be less than the oragami cover but it protects the screen. Whenever I am not reading with the Oasis it is in the case AS WAS MY Voyage.

I have been using chargeable devices long enough to have charging capability anywhere I go, including charging bricks. They are not comparable in ease of use to just putting the Kindle in its cover which is what we should all do when not in use.
