I voted no. If it was overpriced then the first batch would not have sold out so soon.
Yes, I have seen the complaints. I also know that people are more likely to complain about something than praise it. I figure for every one person that got a "bad" screen, there are at least 2 and probably closer to 3 that are perfectly happy with their Oasis. That is pretty much the count just here at MR. It is priced at what the marketers have determined is the ideal price for a PREMIUM ereader.
Now had the OP asked would you buy the Oasis (or other pretty much identical ereader) at this price, the answer would be no. I am cheap and do not need all the bells and whistles.
