I think you did only [1] thru [5], and not [6].

If you had done [6], which means select 100% of the books (good or bad, right or wrong, correct or incorrect) for each and every corrupt author, it would have fixed them. All books for an author must be changed simultaneously.
Changing only the bad books is not enough.
