Where exactly is Kobo with its Readers?

I have three, two of which are defective and cannot be repaired (here in Peru). These were purchased about 2 years ago.

The one good one - a Kobo Glo, which is one of the older units too, by the way - keeps on ticking and works perfectly. However, it's been superseded by newer and better screens from Amazon and from a few other places, including Kobo.

I'm thinking of buying a newer Kobo (perhaps another Glo?), but with all the false hype about new units appearing on Mother's Day (?) and they didn't, I'm curious to know where exactly is Kobo regarding its Readers?

Should I wait until 2017?

Your advice is appreciated.

Thanks.
