yes you can rename your kindle for PC installs, and when you launch one on a PC, the given name appears in the title bar. so I know that my other ones are either on backup PCs or were on PC I no longer have, I have never gotten around to hunting them down and renaming or removing them. it would probably be faster to deregister all but one K for PC and re-create as needed.

you can also change kindle names and send-to-kindle addresses so that the emai addresses relate better to your chosen device names.

the win 7 -> win 10 upgrade also confused some amazon stuff. I have a whole separate messed up list of devices that are authorised for prime music, and amazon music uses it's own database of names, not managed from the content and devices screen.
the upgraded PCs each have 2 entries on that list. also, there is a limit on how many devices can share your amazon music I think, so that does need occasional maintenence.
