There was discussion of locating books on Fire tablets starting at this point in another thread.

Also, with the Fire OS 5.1.4 release there is an option to download books to your SD card (if present). In that case they will be in directories under /storage/sdcard1/Android/data/com.amazon.kindle/files/Books. That will have one subdirectory for your registered Amazon account and that in turn will have book subdirectories named by each book's ASIN.
