well if that's the rule then I don't have a default device ???,

because "default device" does not appear under any of my devices on that page.

So I have now , on that page, set my Kindle voyage to be my default device - & I now see the black text - will see if my next purchase also arrives on the fire tablet in due course

PS according to that same devices and content page, I have two cloud drives ! how can THAT be - surely it's one free drive per account, and there is no " which drive do you want" prompt when I log to my cloud drive page, from anywhere....
and four Kindle for PC "devices" - that one is be plausible due to several years of PC and OS changes, I have no idea which one is which though.
