May I suggest that perhaps we should find out what specifically someone means by "trashy" before jumping to conclusions about it? Someone who talks about "clean romance" might simply mean there is sex in them, and I for one, have absolutely no objections to that.

I do object to romances that brag about being a "CLEAN romance" so I will not waste my time on any of them. I will instead take pride in enjoying what someone with a very different taste in books might refer to as "trashy romance". it's not my fault, or problem, that they don't know better.

EDIT:
I take everything back. I read the free Kindle sample of one of the books, and it is trashy. Or rather, it is trash. I think I read better writing in my 9th grade poetry class.
