I tried to inject a kobo touch image on the sd-card and the kobo responded (but it's not the good screen resolution and it appears artefacts...) so I think with a kobo aura image it can works.

That slot is for the external micro SD card. My understanding is that the Kobo devices do not attempt to boot from these when using the standard firmware. Some people have changed their devices to do this, but, they do this by changing something in the internal memory. For the Aura, that means the device has to be working. For the devices with an internal SD card, they can be removed and changed if the device isn't working. If you have done this already, then maybe you can boot from the external card. If so, you are more likely to have luck with the Aura H2O image. These Aura and Aura H2O share the same firmware upgrade package, so they are more likely to have common hardware than any of the other devices.
But, what exactly is wrong with the device? What's on the screen? What happens when you turn it on? What happens when you try a factory reset? What were you doing with it when it stopped working?
