Correct street name please

I'm preparing The Last Day of a Condemned Man by Victor Hugo for the MobileRead library. One of the translations I'm using has 'Place de la Grève' for one of the places he is imprisoned, and another has 'Place de Grève'. The street seems to be in Paris. Which is the correct name?

Also, while I am here, the street names and places are hyphenated in one translation, and not hyphenated in the other - eg Notre-Dame or Notre Dame. Is there a correct usage for this?

Thanks in advance.
