The Wizard is just a GUI front end to the various programs.
The problem now is that Linux is failing to boot.
From the message, it is not recognizing the hardware the boot media is connected to.
(Try one of the USB-2 ports for the LiveUSB stick also).
The Kubrick Linux build has support for many different types of older hardware -
It should work on anything older than what you have.
Since it does not touch any of the installed software on the device, I.E: it runs only in RAM, even a borrowed PC would be alright.
