It was, of course, the series that got me to buy the book in the first place.

Much to my delight, the book is every bit as enjoyable as the TV series! Different, in that the grittiness of Poplar and the Docks is much more prominent and compelling. But still the same sense of hope and uplift as the series has. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series, but at the current price, I'll need to wait until my library has them. I will not pay Penguin's inflated eBook price!
I don't think that £13.99 for three books is particularly inflated. £4.66 a book, which seems to me like a reasonable price for a good book, which these certainly are.

The good news is that it does go on sale from time to time. I see that I bought the omnibus for £7.47 a couple of years ago.
