Apple had stopped allowing iPad Pro 9.7 devices to install the update. I read on MacRumors that yesterday they released a new version of 9.3.2 so you should be able to install it now. There is also a support document now on how to fix the Error 56 problem as well as one other issue that may happen during the update installation.
The nagging is really, really annoying. I think I'm going to wait a week or so to make sure there are no more complaints with the new 9.3.2 before I update my iPad Pro 9.7.
