Personally, I have no idea how it works. I have never borrowed a book vie ADE, so have never looked into. I was simply proposing the possibility that came to my mind when it was mentioned. But, a reason to supply it separately would be so that the full file didn't have to be unpacked to get the information. Plus it could be used as a validation mechanism (need both bits of info and they have to be consistent).
